So What is a COW CONCERT??
Our concerts typically include:
-
2 - 3 hours of live band performance!
-
scheduled time to visit with the Scottish Highland cows! Either before or during a break in the live music, the audience can feed cow snacks and take pictures with the "coos"
-
*new* 4 mini-donkeys to visit with
-
plenty of space for picnicing, "bring your own" chairs/blankets and food/drinks.
-
a highland-cow-themed gift shop where purchases support the mission of the Remark-Able Ranch, INC (now a 501c3 charity!)
-
wine & wine slushies in various flavors for purchase from a local winery
-
amazing non-alcoholic specialty drinks (along with candy &/or 3D printed toys & collectibles) for purchase from a favorite local vendor
-
we will sometimes have food available when we have local merchants that will donate so we can provide it at a reasonable price (in support of the organizations hosting the event)

We're super excited to announce that our 2026 Concert Schedule is in the works! If you have bands in mind that you’d love to see, we want to hear from you! Keep an eye on this page and Eventbrite (pro tip search for "cows"!) for all the latest updates on our upcoming events! 🌟

September 13, 2025:
The "KICKIN' COW CONCERT"
to benefit both:
Special Olympics of Hancock County &
the Remark-Able Ranch, Inc.

On September 13th, guests experienced a fun-filled afternoon with activities such as feeding and hugging adorable highland cows, engaging in family craft tables, and capturing memories with significantly discounted professional photos featuring three mini-highland cows.

There were several tables plus plenty of grassy areas for attendees to set up their own chairs or blankets, and many brought their picnic food to enjoy or purchased a wonderful BBQ meal donated by .
A brand new barn on the property showcased a highland-cow-themed gift shop, with all purchases supporting the mission of the Remark-Able Ranch, Inc.
From 6 PM to 8:30 PM, we enjoyed timeless country favorites performed by our local favorites "Wiggins X 2," sipping wine or wine slushes from Harmony Winery, Knightstown, along with a variety of specialty non-alcoholic beverages from Grammy's Jammin' Drinks of Greenfield.
It was a unique celebration of community, music, fun benefiting so many in our communities. Thank you to all who came out and donated and enjoyed the sunset with us!
Sept. 27, 2025: Moo-sic & Mental Health

This Mental Health event was not just a cow concert but also part of the broader community's month-long mental health awareness and Suicide Prevention Month. This special event was a stop on the Hancock Health Connection's Wellness Challenge. There were purple shirts and purple lights and special "988" totes with adorable highland cows and an upbeat message on them for the event.
The event opened with an afternoon of family vendor fair, craft tables, free face painting & tattoos, highland cow cupcakes, fun interactive sessions with the highland cows, professional photos with mini-cows, followed by an evening mixed with live music and very special guest speakers.
Guest Speakers:
-
Senator Mike Crider, a driving force behind key legislation in Indiana to improve our Mental Health care systems.
-
Author & survivor of human trafficking, Barbara McDannell
Live Pop Concert featuring "Ages" band was an upbeat celebration of music across the ages. A marker board was available throughout the day for all attendees to post tributes to individuals we've lost to suicide. The board would light up in purple for 1 minute every 11 minutes throughout the event (because we lose 1 soul in the US to suicide every 11 minutes) - see the video to the right to view the board at the end of the evening.
